Students continue to puzzle brands for the simple reason that most are uncomfortable with speaking to this demographic in a language they understand.

Get it wrong and you risk gaining a reputation as an uncool brand, but get it right and you can engage millions of influential young people, as we did when Media Chain partnered with Nike and ASOS.

We partnered with several Media Chain brands, including Student Problems, to promote the innovative #FindItWithNike app, which uses image-recognition tech to help fashion fans discover outfits. Working closely with Nike and ASOS, we created a series of social-first videos and took to London’s trendy streets to interview students about the app.

Our campaign also saw Media Chain’s creative minds draw up a series of memes and image-led content for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to help Nike and ASOS cut through the noise with shareable, native posts. The results saw us reach 13.2 million people on Facebook alone (9.2 million above target) and drive 112,267 clicks on Twitter with the hashtag #FindItWithNike, resulting in the campaign trending at number six in the UK on Twitter.
